Lens hood for canon 18-55 kit lens

I am looking for a hood but the reviews are terrible for the one canon makes. Does anyone have another brand that fits and works ok?

Actually I did google it. I looked at about 10 different hoods. When I looked them up they had terrible reviews so I was hoping someone who has used some could point me in a direction rather than take a chance. Thanks though

The reviews are from people that have little or no clue what the purpose of the hood is for or why it is designed the way it is. Canon,s design has to work at both ends of the spectrum, 18mm to 55 mm. Zooms are a compromise and that can include the hood as well. You could get a different hood that is deeper if you don't mind vignetting at the wide end.

That's why I asked here as I don't trust what I was finding on google and in reviews. Thank you. I will give the canon hood a try.
