Lens question

This may be a dumb question, but will I ruin my film if I switch lenses while the film is still loaded and has exposures left?

No. Assuming you are talking about an SLR camera...behind the lens is the mirror, which diverts the light up into the viewfinder. Behind the mirror is the shutter, which block the light. When you press the shutter release, the mirror flips up and the shutter opens...so until then, it's OK to remove the lens.
