That 35mm f/1.8 DX is a great lens that for some reason I just never bonded with. Best guess is I don't like 50mm FF equivalent FOV. But it and the 55-200 f/3.5-5.6 nonVR plastic DX zoom are probably my two least favorite lenses of all time. Always wanted to like that 35, but just never did.

I'm quite attached to the Nikkor 60mm 2.8 D. I've had multiple copies, and they've always turned out to be big performers, regardless of the camera body.

Here is one the macros I shot with it back last year when Derrel scolded me for not knowing what I was doing, which I'm sure everyone has seen... sigh.... tear

Never had any emotional attachment to a... lens. There are lenses I liked more than others, but even those I like very much, I can hate them too occasionally when I deal with their weaknesses. Ô well.

That being said, I really like my actual sets of Nikkor lenses (4).

My favorite lens *ever* is the 400/2.8 (+TC's)... but it's a heavy beast. Love always comes at a cost I guess...

Glad to hear it. That many wives could be even more expensive than photography.

When I was on DX, I adored my 35 1.8G DX, that lens was awesome to me..it hardly came off my camera. It was sad to see it go to a new home when I switched to full frame.

The Fuji X20's 28-112mm lens was fantastic, but it was TOO good for the tiny 2/3 sensor..it really needed a 1" sensor. It was really beautiful piece of glass for a point and shoot type camera.

I've owned the 35 1.8 g as long as I've had a dslr but over they years I just use it less and less. If it wasn't so cheap I would probably sell it, but I'd only get like ~100 for it and at that price I might as well keep it.

And it's not the 50mm equivalent that I don't like, I don't think. I really love the conversion lens on my x100t, which is 50mm f/2 equivalent. And I love the 55mm f/1.4 on my Ricoh singlex.

I can't even say what it is about that lens that I don't gel with it. Bokeh is fine, it's sharp. Barrel distortion is easily correctable on it.

I guess I think it lacks in color and contrast a bit. Though that is easily enough fixable in post. I don't know, just never clicked with me and I've never been able to figure out why.
