Light kit

Hi, Im after a light setup which wont break the bank. Im thinking of getting 2 Speedlites/flashguns and hoping to use as slaves and hopefully have a neat little wireless setup. Can anyone recommend any equipment? I currently have a 600D/T3i and I'm hoping to get something for as cheap as possible as Im a student and dont have large sums of money at all. Initially I'd like to get 1 flash and a wireless set and built upon that. thanks for your time!

If you are a student and want to get into some good lighting you'll have to balance a cheap kit that includes a good start up vs the cost of one speed light. You can get bundles on ebay for about $300. These include 2 soft boxes, 3 strobes, 3 stands, wireless trigger and some other light modifiers like a grid, barn doors and gels. Actually, one brand name speedlight will cost more unless you pick it up used.

A lot of users will jump in and say these bundles are crap. For cost reasons, I have ordered a couple of these kits for my school and they have served us well. The students learn how to set up multiple light exposures and they are used almost everyday.

Just something to consider if money is a deciding factor.
