Recently I've been taking an array of portrait shots, however i've been having trouble with the natural lighting available. If I were to try and set up an amature rig to give me consistant lighting for either indoor or outdoor use what would you suggest?

Are there any web sites that I could visit that specialise in this kind of lighting? Any feedback would be appreciated

if you want to do studio lighting you'll likely need 3 lights... you can get strobes that hook up to your camera and act like flashes... but i have also heard you can get some pretty good results with halogen work lamps (purchased at a hardware store) i'd recommend having white fabric or paper in fron of them for a less harsh look on portraits though.
