I've been converting to DNG lately since LR doesn't support the 5D3's RAW's, and I'm noticing that I don't have any camera profile options, just Adobe Standard. I don't normally change the camera profile, but the DNG's that I've been importing are very flat in appearance. In DPP I can adjust the profile on the RAW's and it gives me a much better starting point, but I don't have that option with the DNGs in LR. Should I be able to adjust camera profiles on DNG's, or am I experiencing the expected behavior?

You're using an early beta of Adobe's attempt to reverse engineer the camera format. Naturally you don't have any profiles other than their test profile at this stage. That feature will likely come once ACR properly supports the RAW format.

In the mean time you can always make your own profile with DNG profile editor to give your image a bit of umpf.

That makes sense, thanks. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something somewhere.
