Lion at Willen

This is one of the lions at the Peace Pagoda at Willen Lake, Milton Keynes.

I took it a while back on a very cold morning surrounded by people in lycra running around the lake.....at least I had a flask of coffee with me!

One of those images it's worth freezing your a** off to get! I can't figure out the lighting - it looks like the sun is behind the trees to the right, but the statue is lit from the left? Off-camera flash?

No lighting added but there is a light coloured path and big white pagoda just behind where I was standing.

That's amazing. I get the feeling that the lion statue is "rushing" towards me when I look at it.

Doesn't do much for me. I kinda wish there was a person, like a small child, on the left to balance the photo and make it a bit more dynamic.
