Little boy don't jump

What do you think about this procesing?

[TD="class: kmessage-left"]This picture is of my son, He was on a top of a pretty good size rock and he had a look like he was debating to jump...As a father I was like "NO" well he did anyway but I got a decent photo pre-jump. I processed this different than I would a normal photo. I like the results.

Post processed in photoshop, adjusted curves. I used nik color effex for pro contrast and skin softner. I brought back into photoshop and duplicated layer and added a slight grain filter with oppacity of 20 but masked out the skin as I did not want to effect that area. I then flattened and duplicated layer and added topaz noise reduction. I then masked out the face and arm/hand so it did not effect that area. Flattend and duplicated layer and added a sponge effect and once again masked out the face and arm/hand.

His skin looks okay but the processing makes his clothes look acid washed.

I don't care for the HDR-like processing. It doesn't look good on people. Plus the noise in the sky is really distracting.
