Only like a month late, but I hope you didn't throw the lens away. Even broken, the lens is likely worth around $200 for parts.

You could likely get $30-$50 for the lens hood on eBay. Though, I don't know how long it would take. No lens hoods are listed on eBay, and none have any sold within the past 3 months.
