You've got a neat "ring of fire" like effect -or an eclips of the sun - going on in the eye, which on its own would make a fantastic shot. However reflections are, for me, really affecting this shot badly, along with the burnt out whites on his skin. I have found that wet things (like frogs) are a pain for this and I would really say that a circular polarizing lens would help you out a lot for such shots - it makes things a little more tricky since you have less light through the lens, but used correctly it can really help lower those reflective problems in the shot.
