Maternity for CC

This is about the photography.... Not the client, whatever they look like you have no control over! I shot a CEO for major corp who's tie was the worst thing I had ever seen.... Just glad I did not say anything as I later learned it was his favorite tie given to him by his wife..... Sometimes you have to be just the photographer and not the know everything photographer.

Guess what... Tattoo sucks.. I'd take it out in one edit and leave it in in another edit... And present both. I have tattoos, but I don't have bad ones like that. It's my CC... That doesn't make it wrong. Stick to the picture, not the other posters please.
Welcome - I was unaware that the tattooing industry had elected a sole representiative to speak on their behalf with respect to what does and does not constitute a "good" tattoo.

Strange crops, and taking the tattoo out may offend unless she asked for it to be removed.

I like the lighting and colors in #1 but the posing and angle ruins it for me, The exact opposite on #2 I like the posing do not like how washed out and even grayish she is. If you could have made her a bit brighter in comparison to the background or added a bit of flash I think that would of been my winner

Hey, it was just my two cents... Didn't think I'd get so much change back.

I could have warned you. People here do not seem to be fond of people speaking negatively of the subjects in this forum, and with good reason.

You guys are too funny.
No, we take our craft seriously. If the client has tattoos, clothing, etc that are not to our taste, oh well. It's not our place to comment on those things, unless there's a reason that they may negatively effect the final image, in which case it's a good idea to be able to diplomatically recommend how that might acheived.

Had they asked my opinion ahead of time for attire I'd have made recommendations, but that wasn't the case.. And she permanently put that art on her body, so I'm assuming she likes it. If these were maybe wedding photos and I was closer friends I might offer some edits with the tats removed.. But yeah.

Thank you to all who offered their cc on the photography and not the photographed.

Well, to be fair, C&C is specifically for the technical aspects of an image. The unchangeable physical attributes of a person is not what should be critiqued but what to
do to accentuate or reduce things. For example, if a person is heavy , the POV used can be critiqued because it makes the person lighter/heavier. But the fact that they are
heavy isn't (or shouldn't) be a factor in a photographic critique. Personal taste on tattoos, piercings, plastic surgery etc are no longer a critique about the technical aspects, however
you can suggest to change the pose or angle of the person, so the tattoo is less visible. But for all you know, the tattoo can be something super sentimental, and you run the risk of
completely insulting your model by suggesting to edit it out.

I love her expression in #1. Total bliss or joy. The background is a little light, maybe darken it somewhat? As an off topic note, your little boy as your avatar steals the show. :)

Holy crap! This whole time I thought she was your friend... She's a friend of a friend... That makes more sense as to why everyone was so bent about my tattoo comment. Like I mentioned much earlier you could give her two edits. One with the tatt and one without because I thought she was your friend. Oh well... I still really don't care and I still stand by what I said.
