I did make well of the crappy weather and went out and played on the 4 wheeler in the snow and ice!!

That depends what part of Texas you're talking about.

It was not uncommon in the winter to have snow on I-10 east of El Paso from just west of Van Horn east to well past the I-10/I-20 split.

One winter I-20 was so iced up they closed it and made everyone going westbound stop in Pecos. At least those that actually made it to Pecos without sliding off the road east of there.

Here in central Iowa tonight we have blizzard conditions with snow, 30 mph north winds, a temperature of 12°F, and wind chill of -9°F.

Tomorrow morning at 9 AM they are predicting 2°F, and wind chill of -20°F.

I had to call in today, and tomorrow isn't looking any better. I hope I can go to work sometime before the weekend - I really need more than one day on my next check!

They're saying it'll get down to 12 degrees tonight, wind chill of -7, and wind gusts up to 50 mph (20 mph, steady)...

That's pretty damn cold for Texas. I'm not used to sub 40 temperatures anymore...lol!
