I personally don't know what i was going for here, i just loved the light that was piercing a small street and casting the shadows of the buildings on the ground.

I like shots of my own shadow. Sometimes, usually late in the day, my shadow follows me around and tries to get into all my wide-angle, front-lighted stuff...

Yeah, i tilted the image slightly to increase the artistness.

That's called "Dutch tilt" here in the USA; I thought that was allowed ONLY on photos made in Holland...no sure though, not living in Europe...

For sure, i'm traveling a lot and taking lots of pictures. And i didn't even know about the Dutch tilt to be honest, i shot this picture straight and later tilted it in post. I wasn't really thinking about how this would look, i just enjoyed how this composition felt to me for no logical reason.

I'm experimenting with split toning. That one has orange-ish highlights and blue-ish shadows.

I edited out the blue in the second image and boosted the blacks. I like this version better i think.

yeah I like that version better. You could still push the contrast/structure/clarity a bit.
