LOL
I'm just messin with Naptime.
Anyway, this is just another attempt at being creative with the moon.
Anyone can shoot the moon. It's not that hard.
Most of the time I see moon shots, on nights that are clear as a bell. Can't figure out why people don't step out of the box.

This was a challenging shot. Expose for the clouds and the moon becomes over exposed to the point that there's no saving it.
Expose for the moon and you don't see the clouds or the colors. There was a balancing act going on here.
If you look close , you'll see how I got the exposure where the moon is satisfacrtory and the clouds can be seen with their colors.
Of course I could have taken 2 shots or more and done an overlay. That's not what this is though.
Tried to create a scene. I kinda like it. Don't know if anyone else will. I went after, different.

love it! almost looks surreal.

but, wow brother.. you really need a tan!!! that's one bright moon!!!

i love how you captured the clouds. they almost form a sort of spiral to the moon. like looking up at it through the eye of a hurricane!

I know man. I LIKE IT!
lol
It's a different spin on the moon.
Can't wait to see what Gipson comes up with. I think I got him beat.
hahahaha

i keep staring at this !!

i want it for my wallpaper !!

lol
Go ahead and take it. You might have to stretch it across. The posted file is small. like 400k

I may make a print of this image. That printer I have, man you should see the the 20x30's I made.
They are stunning.

The final image looks better than this one. I got the watermark clipped out, it's cropped slightly more on the right side.
I still have about 12.5 megapixels. It should make a hell of a print.

Damn thing looks real.
I knew you were up to something.

It is fun playing with light and shadow! :) 24" softbox with SB-900 for Key.. and another SB900 doing a little bounce from the side...

It's an amazing shot.
You're the only person I know who can take a freggin toy and make it look like that.
I just can't believe it. @@##$*&&!
3 hours sitting outside in the dark to get a unique moon shot. Gipson goes out and buys a freggin toy, throws it in his studio and 5 minutes later has a dinosaur that looks REAL.

Trust me.. your moon shot took a lot more work and talent, than my silly Dino pic! :)

I don't believe that for one minute.
Yes the moon shot took time.
But your use of light and shadow in this image is exceptionally good.
The damn thing looks real Gipson.

I guess I'm gonna have to set a studio up, to keep up.
That's a very good image Gipson. Most people couldn't do that.
I can't do that.
