#1 - I'd have shot it in portrait format and not landscape which would have helped to get the entire subject inside the frame. Your subject is lit from the back, a little more lighting from the front with the help of a reflector would have made a world of a difference.

#2 - I can't see what your subject is doing which appears to be fun. Therefore I would have chosen a different angle. Subject is slightly over exposed and the colors way too saturated.

#3 - Incorrect white balance. The photo has a bluish tint to it. Can be easily corrected in RAW. Again, scene is back lit which is why the shadows look like black areas. HDR comes to mind in order to compensate that or shoot the scene earlier/later in the day.
