So who was walking around with this thing in their fur until you plucked it out?
I think I've got a similar photo somewhere, too. Mia, the cat, once had a tick as fat as this one sitting on her, too, and I'm sure I took its photo ...

Actually I heard my wife screaming; she was to pick up what she thought was a sweet in our sofa - it must have fallen of one of our cats - I did what any real man would've done : I set off for my camera gear


(The tick now resides inside one of the goldfish in our pond)

Well I must admit I love the set up for your subject, and the shot is great. However, even seeing them that big makes me a bit ill, especially that up-close-and-personal.
