Motorcycle action shots

It's a good start; my first suggestion would to be shoot at a different time of day if at all possible. This looked like it was short shortly after sunset. Other than that, try and get a little more profile, say 25-25 degrees off of the front so that the viewer can better see the angles and heights that these guys can reach. For this type of work, I like to use a 'medium' shutter speed; one high enough to freeze the motion of the bike, but slow enough to allow some motion of the wheels. Example (1/160 IIRC).

That is an awesome shot. Thanks for the tip. :):)

youtube "panning". The bike will appear clear and sharp and background is motion blurred to express hi action/drama with the bike. This is an example action shot I got when I was learning to pan bikes
