It still needs work so I want your honest opinions.

Thanks!

I think it's pretty cool. Colors aren't as striking as some pictures though. Are you using a UV filter at all? I don't know if that would help at all (I'm also new at this), I'm just curious.

Also I don't know what the cause of that green outline on the breakdancer's left leg and head, but I don't like that. Not knowing the cause, I also don't know how to fix it. I don't think it's a good thing, though.

Did you crop some of this out of other photos?

That's a awesome photo, the only thing i don't like is the background, anything past the fence is pretty bland, especially when compared with whats happening inside the fence.

Nirvalica - I use Hoya UV filter. I am unsured of why that green appeared, hopefully it was the post processing so I can remove it later on.

Scoody - No, I don't think I did much cropping if any on this photo.

colinisawesome11 - Wish I can do something about it but I think what's inside that counts =)

Thanks, keep them coming!

The green outline could be from Chromatic aberration--http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromatic_aberration

I think that it could use a bit more contrast, but that's just me.

Oh yeah this shot is cool. Love how you got the breakdancers eyes just in front of his shoe, the timing is impeccable. I tend to agree on the background being the only thing letting the shot down, maybe get rid of the chap to the right? Otherwise its a sweet shot.

The lighting is really flat. Learn to use strobed light to give your action shots some 'pop'.

Edit out the wires in the background.

I'm in the process of getting a speedlite soon so hopefully I can apply to my photos.

KmH - I like how you edited out the power lines but not sure on the vignette, looks like that Dave Hill though =)

doubleoh7- Fill light and tighter crop?

This is weird, using Lightroom I see the green glow on the original photo but using ViewNX2 I see none...

Tighter crop - contrast increase, warm color increase

That was quick and dirty to show how you may have been able to use strobed light to make your subjects pop.

So I did another, not as quick and dirty, but still pretty crude edit. Some of this stuff has to be done there at the location when the shutter is released, and cannot be done post process.
