Honestly, the sky being slightly blown and gray ruins the image for me. If the sky was blue, and you used fill flash to keep the sky from blowing the image would be much better imo. But that is technique that comes with experience, I'm still working on getting it right tbh.

I think the shot could have done without the dancer or skateboarder two conflicting subjects. I don't see how one has to do with the other. I agree woth all the other coments about lighting, contrast and all.

The slight outline around the skateboarder is aberration from the sky being in stark contrast from the guy's darker clothes/skin

Ediding the 700 k jpegs left some weird marks but overall you can still bring the sky a little bit. I would also remove the creeper in the background

Wow so many re-editing! Looks like I have to polish up my photoshop skills to compete =)

I agree with most of the comments regarding the sky being blown out. Things like these will consider for me to plan out and have the right lighting equipment. Thanks.

The sky in the original is not blownout. The brighest spot I could find in the sky was 243 in all 3 channels. Blownout is all 3 channels being 255.

But the cloud cover has no detail making it gray and robbing it of any sense of depth.
