This was the first time that I've actually been able to pull off decent fireworks shots. It was a fantastic show... Happy New Year!

The silhouettes of the crowd and the bridge make #1 stand out for me. The green light given off by the fireworks make it stand out for me a bit more over #6.

I'm curious as to what settings you used for #3 & 4, they have interesting colour and detail (that I personally have had no luck with in my shots, lol)

I like the silhouettes also. You had a spectacular view, and used it in the best way possible, by getting some awsome pictures ! :D

Really love the shape of #5, just something about it.

Great job. I also love #1 with the bridge below the fireworks. You were in just the perfect spot for this type of photo.

I like #6 the best because the people in the foreground and the bridge in the middleground are silhouetted. The others are good too

Excellent shooting Wendy. Im diggin this series. 1, 4 and 6 are my fave. Well done.:thumbup:

Thanks for all the comments!

I was constantly changing the settings as I was shooting. Some of the fireworks weren't as bright, so they needed a longer exposure, whereas others filled the sky and I had to readjust to avoid overexposure. It was actually a really fun challenge!

Photo #1
Exposure time: 0.050s (1/20)
Aperture: f/4.5
ISO: 400

Photo #2
Exposure time: 0.077s (1/13)
Aperture: f/5.6
ISO: 400

Photos #3, #4, #5
Exposure time: 0.067s (1/15)
Aperture: f/4.5
ISO: 800

Photo #6
Exposure time: 0.067s (1/15)
Aperture: f/4.5
ISO: 400

Hope that helps!
