I think this is the best picture and editing that i have done yet, shame i cut the top of the hat off.

Can i get some feedback on it? Do others like it as much as myself or am i being bias?

You're being biased, or at least you better be; it's your child! If you're not biased...

It's not bad, but it could be improved I think. I would crop away a good bit of each side to go to either a square or portrait format, maybe run a light gaussian blur on the background just to take the curse off of the worst of the wrinkles, and try some levels and curves adjustments to slightly lower the hightlights.

It looks underexposed. There is no light in the eyes, and the color is very cool.

I'm glad you did so I won't have to.

I take it this child cannot sit up by herself yet. So why not have some family member hold her? Better than the big pillow, and speaking of big, the cap is too big. Lose the cap.

Thanks for the response. I have over exposed the picture a little, played with the curves and hightlights, cut and played with the blur. I think its a better picture already?

She cannot sit up by herself yet and her mum is very photo sensitive. I like the hat, its cute!!

It's better in that it brings the viewer in closer to her without all the extra space. I don't really understand the purpose of over or under exposing images although that seems to be a common enough practice; I usually go for a properly exposed image and then it's possible to edit to create a particular look.

I love the hat! but I think it might be better to see all or none of it; the color (it's a lot of pink!) and the pattern on the boppy seem to be too different in color and pattern. It might have worked better covering the boppy with maybe a soft pink or white blanket.

Since she's not yet able to hold her head up, what about positioning yourself on the floor facing her from the side so she's looking more at the camera? With young babies I think it can be a matter of waiting til they have an expression that you like, and then as she gets older you'd be able to engage her to get some smiles etc.

Half of your girl face is covered. The backdrop needs to be fixed as well as baby's skin. If she is not able to hold her head up yet, I recommend putting her on her back.
