My first attempt at a still life.

My light source in this pic is a slide projector I got for $6 from the thrift store. The light was too harsh, so I took a small piece of glass, fogged it using valve grinding compound, and put it over the lens. I also used an 8x10 white cardstock to act as a reflector. I forgot the 80A, so I corrected the yellow in PS. What do you think?

I think its good for a first try and the composition is good. I think its a little flat though.. if you go back and study the still lifes of the old masters they're full of colours and contrasts of light and depth. Maybe photographing something bigger would work better.

I like the background though, good thinking
