My first camera Help

OKAY i iam thinking of getting my first dslr but i have alot in mind okay
canon 20d Canons xs nikon d40 or nikon d70 I am going to be taking alot of sports pics thanks

for sports, whichever has the fastest FPS.
If doing night sports, high ISO is good too

get anyone one of those and invest in some very fast f/2.8 lenses 200mm+ lenses, as these will be a must for good sports photography.

Of your choices the 20D will have the better build with the D70 close behind. The 20D and D70 will have the smallest screen. But not so small can't use them. Just newer cameras now a days have larger 2.5 to 3".

From the models you have listed I would go with the 20D. But you might be able to move to a 30D for about the same price range. And it will have the larger 2.5" rear LCD. Also Nikons D80 should be in this same range. If you were looking for a very good used camera to start with. I would try and find a 30D or D80. Skip past the consumer level XS and D40/D60's.

Don't you hate it when people go from your choices to add others.

BTW. I have had a 20D for about 4-5 years now. I have purchased newer better models but I still use it. Just not the "main" DSLR now.
