this is such a great site.. tons of info... anyhow i finally purchased a prosumer camera (Fuji S9100) which is a definte upgrade from my old sony f707... anyhow here are my very first HDR shots... i still need to work on my post processing a bit... need to break down and buy CS3 or CS4.. :-(

Hmmm, don't know anything about tine mapping, but your WB is way off. The first is very orange and the second very blue.

First of all, congrats on the new camera it's always fun getting new gear.

well, one looks interesting, but to be honest I don't see the positive effects of tone mapping, such as high contrast areas. The first one actually looks kind of flat. But don't worry, as these are your first I'm sure they will continue to improve.

i know the photos are way off.. like i said i really havent figured out all the settings in photomatix yet... i just basically moved the sliders untill i got something that i thought looked neat...

the reason the one photo is so orange is i was sitting under a street light..
