My First Year in Photography - A look back at my fav shots of 2012 :)

2012 was a great year! Got my first DSLR (Nikon D5100) and have learned a bunch from you folks!! here's a look back at what I have been up to. Maybe share your own fav pics from 2012?

Pretty darned impressive for a first-year end of year roundup!!! You seem to have a very "illustration-like" vibe going on with these. I think your processing instincts are very good, and I sense tremendous potential in you. Your actual processing "skills" and "methods" could use a bit of refining and perfecting (and so could mine, I will admit), but for a one-year shooter??? You are doing great in terms of producing photos that have an illustrative, kind of commercial-photographer-like feel. With some refinements in the ticky-tacky post-processing software end of some of these shots, I could easily see these pics slapped into an issue of Maxim or whatever.

Again, for a first year??? VERY impressive dude, very impressive.

Woah thanks man! That's really encouraging coming from a vet like yourself!! Illustrative style is 100% what I shoot for, and I've never heard it put that way. I'm going to adopt that phrase That's a great description for the somewhat unorthodox / unique look I try to go for.

Gotta agree with Derrel, and the thing that impresses me most is the consistenancy in your processing. It's not a style of which I am personally a fan, but it seems to be working, and you've got a good flow going. Keep it up!

Wow you're an inspiration!!!!...I have just bought the d5100 Id love to pick your brains later down the line if thats ok, these shots are better then alot I have seen on here,
