I felt as though the colors were too busy and I thought that in BW, it was less distracting. Just my opinion. Here's a color version:

This is an instance where the color might be distracting, but where the color adds to the feeling of modern infant toys, with the bright-colored plastics and all...it sort of places this into the modern era; this *is* the type of color that toys and baby gear are using this century. No more plain ole' yellow and red, like the Playskool brand stuff of the 80's...

I agree, removing the color makes sense, but showing it in full color also shows his hair and eye coloration, skin tone, and so on.
