Hi all, I'm new here, just wanted some feedback. I used a nikon d50 with natural light, and a black blanket as a backdrop, and an emergency blanket as a reflector. I could use some pointers to improve my pictures as I want some really great pictures of my soon to be grandaughter.

Thanks for any input!

NIce shots, great for the family album!

#1 is a bit hot on the belly

#2 could actually use more DOF in my opinion. Feels like the belly should be more in focus to me.

#3 Again seems a bit hot on the belly, especially at the belly button.

Just my 2 cents.

While belly shots are nice some with a tight shirt will still show she is pregnant and you can eliminate the hot belly that way too.

Number two is nice. Number one the pose isn't perfect - I understasnd she's looking down at the baby, but it makes her neck bunch up.
