Tuffythepug said:Well, it's probably not a good idea to trust someone who's just guessing. I looked up the Gypsy Moth and now I don't think that's what it is any longer. I will stick with the tomato hornworm moth though. I've seen these around my tomato plants. The tomato horn worm is an ugly sucker. cleverly disguised to resemble a curled leaf on a tomato plant; they are hard to spot but terribly destructive.
Overread said:Hmm I don't have any US moth ID books, but you might want to try searching around US hawk moths - it looks a little like it shares the same shape as a hawk moth and there are many variations of them so it could be one.
