Hi, I have a Canon T6 that I'd like to use for DSLR scanning, but I don't know which lens to get. I'd like to start off with a vintage manual lens due to costs. From my understanding, it has to be 1:1 however I'm not exactly sure what else to look for. I'm okay with using mount adapters, and any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Just get an FD/FL adapter. Canon or off-brand manual macro lenses in the 50-60mm range should work for 35mm&120 materials. Manual macro lenses in the 90-100mm range get a bit too long on an APS-C camera for scanning.

I use a zeiss makro planar 100 mm 2.0. It isnt 1:1 and works just fine. It's super sharp
