Need your thoughts on Cropping!

I was hoping to get some opinions on how to crop this picture. I have the full size and then the way I cropped it. But, I don't know...I'm not sure what the best crop would look like. What do you guys think?

I would crop out that balister in the railing behind because its not level and I find it a bit anoying other than that its a very nice shot. The original works will to.--Lenny

I think i prefer the second crop, just cuz when i look at each one the second draws my eye to his face more, and he does have a good smile which kind of gets lost in the first, both look good tho :thumbup:

Cropping is a struggle. Since the cropped photo you supplied brings out the dashing young man, you might consider cropping out the top bar entirely and letting the subject be the image.

Thanks for your input everyone! I think I will go with the second. I tried some tighter crops, but they just didn't do it for me.
