I got my broken olympus x-715 replaced for a new one...not the camera id like but it will do untill i get a good one, seein as the summer is almost over and i work the graveyard shift im not going to see much daylight,i tried shooting at night but it didnt turn out to good.does any one have any tips on night time shooting

Tripod long shutter speed.

Someone else said this. If you don't have a remote, set the timer so you don't cause camera shake when you press the shutter

And best go for smaller apertures but longer exposures. Makes light sources look better (more reason why a tripod is needed and you best set the camera on timer so release is not combined with you pushing that button).
