New Camera

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the shutter running out of steam doesn't spell the end for the camera anyway, does it? I'm sure they can be quite easily replaced.

Thankyou all very much for great info. Does the camera come with UV or polaroid if I buy a twin lens kit? Or would I need to buy a ploaroid filter to fit on each lens? Thanks.

This is the one I am curious about, polaroid to fit on the lens.

Well, that's why nobody bothered to answer before....

Generally you need to buy your own polaroids for your lenses. Unless, of course, they specifically state a polaroid is included with it.

Sorry fellas, so to say it correctly, you add a Polarizing filter to the lens.

may I ask, can all lens take a polarizing filter?

It screws-in.

Thats the one. A friend mentioned a UV filter, what is the difference? Thats what I was getting to.

A UV filter, essentially, does nothing on a digital camera. They're used for "protecting" the front glass on the lens.

A polarizing filter cuts down on reflections, allows you to shoot "into" (i.e. see underwater clearly in a photo) water, gives bluer skies, etc.

Cheers Reg, thats what I wanted to know.
