Just checked. It has a 42x optical zoom lens. Adjusted for a 35mm frame, it's a 24-1,000 mm zoom lens.

The P510 - yes, it's a bridge camera so that sort of low quality zoom is not uncommon.

Made my return to photography after a 35 year hiatus with a P500. I actually thought it took great pictures, and did just about everything I asked of it.
