If you look at the shots in full size they are very soft focus on the faces. Either you are using a very poor quality lens, or more likely you missed the focus or got some camera shake.

:blushing: I'm sure it was me.... I have the 70-200 f4 by canon (and use a Rebel T2i). Not the best, but definately not the worst.
