New lens waiting for me when I get home!!!

So this was my first fathers day as a father, and my wife wanted to get me something for photography. She doesn't know much about the photography world, so she told me to pick a lens for my fathers day gift. I had been debating for a while if I wanted to go the prime lens route. I could have gotten a nikon 35, 50, and 85 mm lens, but I decided to get the Tamron 24-70 mm 2.8 lens. I ordered it on Sunday, and got the text from Amazon letting me know it has been delivered. I can't wait to get home and play with it. Hopefully I will be able to upgrade my camera body soon.

EDIT: I have attached a few of the pictures I took tonight at the local carnival. They are nothing spectacular, I just took a few shots as we walked around. I love the new lens!

Are you referring to the warranty? I purchased it from Amazon, not a third party through Amazon, and I received the warranty with the package.


And here is the camera right out of the box! People said this is a big lens and they weren't kidding! It is at least double the size of my other lenses. I am going to a local carnival tonight so I am hoping to get a couple good pictures while I am there.

Needs to actually fulfilled by Amazon, not another vendor through Amazon (unless they are authorized).

when I checked they told me Amazon was.

I was about to purchase a 70-200 through Amazon and it was "fulfilled".

When I called Amazon they called Tamron and said that the seller was not a dealer.

I asked Amazon if they take down these listings after they find this out and they said no.

So I don't know where they get these lenses from, but Tamron will not honor them.

And this is coming from a conversation with Tamron directly after my Amazon phone call.
