New Minolta XG-7 User Needs Advice.

So, I bought the Camera about 2 years ago at an antique store for $5. 'Got it refurbished, and have only taken a few rolls of film with it since. Until the past few months! I took the camera on trip to Montana with my family and got some really beautiful shots, then I experimented with some portrait shots- which turned out great! I might add that I'm not completely NEW to photography in general. Anyhow, the camera came with a Rokkor 50mm f/1.7 lens. What lens(es) could I buy that would be versatile, but add range to what I could shoot with my camera. Like, a lens that does decent macro shots? or better landscape views than my current lens. And of course, one that would fit my camera without having to but special mounts, etc. -unless that is utterly necessary. Since the picture I've taken are on film, I don't have them on my computer yet; when I get around to that, I would love to hear your opinions.

I have a vivitar 70-210 I use with my XG-7 and XG-M bodies. Versatile, inexpensive lens. It says "macro" at 210; it's not true macro, but does decent close shots. You can also find 2x converters that let you reach even further, but they're very exacting when it comes to focusing. For older cameras, 28 mm is a pretty easy focal length to find for a wider viewing angle.

I say go for a 135mm f2.8 and maybe a 200mm f4. Any minolta md lens will work with this camera. They are pretty nice. I have an old SRT 101 and love it.

Vivitar had a great 28mm 2.8 prime that worked on the Minolta with very little of the usual wide angle distortion.
