The first shot is strong. Bathrooms can make very interesting subjects. Classic stalls and sinks in this one. At first I was bothered by the sloping floor, but on second glance I think it adds more interest to the frame. The garbage on the floor (I love b/w checkers) is about right.

The shot of the boy is on the right track. Personally I find that profiles of the subject leaves less for the photographer and viewer to work with.

I agree, the first image is the strongest one here. I really like that tilted view, with the geometric line created by the sinks. This was an image that HAD to be B&W. Nice job!!
