Took my friend Menaira out to the new estate just up the road from me and got these gorgeous photos. Any feedback?

Sorry Brie, but these just aren't working for me. Maybe some of the Portrait folks here see differently.

I like the full body silhouette one.

The one with her walking away from the camera just looks like a snap shoot of a random person.

as for most of the others, the road in the back ground is quite distracting and not very visually pleasing. For me at least. Im sure you were shooting that way to get the natural light? maybe its time to look into a reflector?

Looks like she has some amazing eyes. Id love to see you do a shoot with her that emphasizes that. Something that really makes her eyes pop.

Maybe im just a sucker for blue/green eyes hahaha.

September afternoons and evenings have some of *the most beautiful* light of the entire year in much of North America. What these need is fill-in light on the shadowed side, the side facing the camera. Try and go to the new development and find a light-colored house, and use that as a GIANT fill-in reflector. Or...borrow an all-white or creme-colored Escalade or Jimmy, and use that as the reflector! Failing that, buy an old Scooby-Doo era white van, like an old Ford Econoline, and use that as a reflector. I'm serious....all you need is the sunset, the camera, the girl, and a BIG reflector. Focus carefully too.
