New to Digital Photography

Hi everyone. When I left photography behind it was 1984 and my trusty Pentax K1000 was put into my camera bag for a long time. I am now just shy of retirement and have selected my 1st digital camera and lense. I am blown away by the capabilities available on a modern camera. And, based on what I am learning about photo editing, the process becomes even more interesting. I'm looking forward to making contributions here once I get some confidence in my work.

Sounds just what I discovered / experienced too - only that mine was 20yrs ago!
The capabilities of these new cameras that are smarter than I am and have settings 'n stuff that was either unheard of, or hopelessly expensive ... and now they (the camera makers) give to us all for free.
