I'm just taking about 5 shots with my D40 on A priority and using exposure comp to get the different exps needed. Tonemapping in photomatix. Any crit or suggestions welcome!

love that top one. HDR suits it well.
looks like a landscape right out of lord of the rings or something.
nicely done.

Very nice! I really need to break into the world of HDR, but from what I read I just don't understand it. I guess I just need to sit down and really go at it. That should be my next goal.

henry is that last pic at castlepoint?. If it was then i may have missed a good opportunity to go over last week when i was off work for a holiday

cheers

All but the skateboard shot are from castle point, yeah it's a nice place to grab some snaps, i had quite dramatic weather which was nice.

HDR Tutorial | High Dynamic Range Tutorial
i love most of this guys work and his tutorial is nice and easy. He's also a super nice guy i asked him a question on facebook and he actually replied, which i thought was nice seeing as he is somewhat of a HDR celebrity.

Thanks for the link. Just took a quick look but it seems very good.

I like your first photo best. The other ones just are not as dramatic.
