Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I just started this journey about 6 months ago. I got a nikon d3000 cause that is what i could afford and the kit lens that came with it. I have read books and this forum to learn some techniques. Now it's time for some feedback. I would appreciate some CC.
Thanks

Here are the pics:

Welcome!

C&C per req:

1. Neat image, unfortunately the out-of-focus blade of grass in the foreground sort of kills it. Try to get in habit of look around the whole viewfinder when you're composing your image and getting rid of things like that.

2. A nice scene; watch for things like the mast on the sail-boat seeming to be at an odd angle. The scene is level, but I suspect that your lens axis was not.

3. I like the patterns and repition here. If you were able to get down and shoot so that your camera was closer to the boards, shooting along them, it might have been even better.

4. Lots of unnecessary space here. I would crop most of the space behind the bird so that he appears to be flying into the image rather than out of it.

Nice water drops; watch your light source though as the hot-spot in the centre is a bit of a distraction.

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

Post processing is probably your next "step" to take in photography.... you have some very cool ideas to start with, for sure. However, like the last response said, there were little things in each that detracted a bit from the pic (blade of grass, hot spot, etc). You can definitely process these to make those things less noticeable; ie, you could remove some of the green from the first shot, etc.

Thanks everyone for the advice, i will take it into account.

The first one is my favorite, but as stated before, the blade of grass kind of takes it down a notch. Good job, keep on shooting! :)

The first is my favorite too. The green OOF blades of grass rob the picture of the warm quality it would have had otherwise. I also like the bird pic..... especially the deepness of the blue and the white on it. I personally feel that the subject moving into or moving out of the picture both signify "Action" or "Speed".
