night shots and long exposure

My boyfriend and I experimented with night shots and long exposures with his digital rebel last night. Here are a few of the results.

This one was my idea, but he took the pic.

This one was my idea, and I set it up, but he pressed the button...it's a 20 second exposure of me spinning around in circles in my PJ's! Never really done the long exposure thing, so we were just kinda playing around.

And this one was all me...I took the picture, and it was my idea. 45 second exposure.

Judging by the photos I say that you should be the one exposing them. The green highlights are surreal. The cloud movement is out of this world.

The moon shot was taken with a Canon Digital Rebel with a 300mm lens. It was a pretty fast shutter speed...not exactly sure what...and that's all I know. We took about 30 shots before we got a decent one, and this is actually zoomed up a bit in photoshop, too. Heh heh...going to watch fireworks tonight...I plan on doing some more long exposure shots!!!!
