Will the field of view on the 1.8g be the same with the 1.8d?Thanks again to all of you for your time.

Technically, any lenses at 50mm focal length should look the same as far as the field of view concern. So G or D lens SHOULD have the same FoV.

The new1.8g has improved image quality and it will autofocus on a d60, you should consider it. Personally i replaced my f1.4g with the f1.8g due to the better performance at f2 and f1.8
