What's new

Not many things cuter than these little fellas :)

Raj they are all nice and beautiful shots, but they better stay like that -- in pictures. Thems and chipmunks are pests around here. They ruin my garden especially the chipmunks. My kids (doggies) thought they are fair game to chase. Hubby trap them and we move them across the Missouri River...one by one...I have some shots of them -- in the traps ready to be transported across to St. Charles reserves but when they went over 10 count, I stopped photographing them...we have over a hundred count moved (according to our statistics...you know those stick statistics of drawing sticks for counting...) I don't know how to explain it...

Yup, for me it's mostly the blown out parts, but to keep the squirrels nose from touching the left edge you'd have to crop all over. The squirrel's expression and posture definitely make it worth a try.
Hmm.. Maybe I'll try it Joel Sartore style when I get the time, thanks Brian :)
You already know how I feel about them Raj. And for the record, 3 is my favorite too.
Oh, yes! sending them right over for a hug ;) Thanks Barb :)
I love these! The first one is my favorite.
Thanks Elizabeth. If the queen like it, it must be Good! ;)

I WANT ONE.
I'll CC one to you along with barb.. :-P

Are those with the new camera, Raj? If so, good to see you mastering that thing!!
No Snerd, these were taken on my SX50 on my first outing with the new camera. If you remember the card got corrupted, and all I had left were from the SX50. But I'll post some of them with the D100 in a few minutes for you. I was saving it for the Sunday :D :-P

Yup, I got it.. I am so glad you guys relocate them. When I was 9-10 years old, I remember people in my village used to capture them and kill them with boiling water, broke my heart really but nothing I could do back then. I never understood why, but most people have there private gardens there and that could be a reason.

The first one is great because it's like a little squirrel glamour shot, which just makes me laugh. I like the second one too because it's got such a nice background and you caught him in such a typical posture. As for the third one, that little face peeking out is killer! But...as you suspected, the blown out bits really distract from how great a capture it is. If it were in a different part of the picture, maybe it wouldn't be so distracting, but because it's a significant portion of the frame AND it's surrounding that adorable little head, you can't help but notice how bright it is.

Thanks Leonore, that's two of you guys who've said the same thing. I've marked that one for next weekend, I'll take my time in editing it. :)
