I did think the fact that I was standing in my living-room when I took it was pretty cool.

Very cool, indeed, John.

Now, if the deer was ALSO standing in your living room, that would exceed all heights of coolness.
No, wait. That would be terrifying.

Is this through glass, or was the window/door open?
My through-glass shots always look like a blind monkey took the picture with a camera that had Vasoline smeared all over it.
Evidently, I don't keep my windows nearly as clean as others do.

I probably could entice them into the livingroom without much effort; these critters have zero fear of people unfortunately. I have one that lays down in my garden, which is immediately adjacent to my outdoor work area ("adjacent" meaning less than 10'), and the other day when I was welding a patch into a gas tank she didn't even blink!

Edited to add: Yes, through the window, but I was quite close to the window.

How awesome! Its so fun watching the babies! This reminds me of the shot I got a few years ago of a mommy cleaning her two babies right through my window as well. I could have reached out and touched them had the glass not been there! However like @sm4him , my window wasn't nearly as clean ;-)

Around here if you are with in a quarter mile and they see you, they are gone! It makes it super hard to get a good photo of one.

Great shot! :)

Nice capture, John. It is too bad that many critters are becoming used to people when some people still treat them with disdain.
Thanks! And, agreed!

Trust me, my windows are NOT that clean!
