Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
So sscarmack kept telling me he wanted me to get a go-pro. I ended up getting a refurb Canon R40 camcorder to document my adventures. Video is freaking tough, but it was only my first outing. Here are some stills and then the video I hacked together, lol. But it does show one of the spots I shoot and managed to get 2 Osprey diving at once (pure luck). You can even here the shutter clicks while I'm taking pics with my real camera, lol... Comments welcome.. Thanks for looking..

Part 1
This one was pissed when another one flew over B&W in the video. I was trying to figure out how to use the damn thing..
This is wide open at 600mm, doesn't seem "soft" to me...

The video. I would love some pointers on the video side, lol...

Excellent as usual. I enjoyed the video but prefer the stills (by far).
LOL, don't worry so do I! It is fun to play with a camcorder though.

HAHA....When I first saw the title, I was like ahhhhhh crap, what did I do nowwwww!?!? lol

The video was cool to see, especially that dive and the slow motion take off. It was nice to see so many flying at once, I'm lucky to see one or even two.

As far as video goes and how to make it better, one thing I really like when watching 'photography videos', I like when they incorporate still photos into the video.

For example, your videoing the Osprey diving, and you can hear you clicking in the background, flash the photos your taking as we see it diving on the screen.

Now of course, this will take some time processing. But I think its cool to see photos, bc they always come out better than video imo

Other than that, I'm a complete noob at videos too and think you did a awesome job.

I have bad news though, somehow the osprey nest fell and I haven't seen them around in a few days. I don't know if it was due to weather, or if someone was messing with them. But it made me very sad to see that the nest was gone.

Great work! Stills are fantastic and the video was cool to see as well.

I love the stills but the video was good too. Just a note, if you had the GoPro with the hot shoe mount, you could take video and stills at the same time, giving us a first person shooter perspective. [not that I saying go out and get more gear, but hey you can now use us as the "reason" that you need it, lol]

Video is OK, but you can examine stills. Great photos!

I enjoyed seeing the area where you shoot your awesome photos. The lake clip was a little long and you could overlay some of your photos in that segment. Loved the slowmotion at 1:17.

LOL @ trying to convert you :) :) It is all really cool though. Unless you are mostly a solo type of shooter, it would be cool to get someone more into video to collaborate with. Just for the heck of it.

Thanks everyone!

Just curious if you noticed all the Osprey flying around? There is also 2 Osprey that dive at the same time.

Maybe, but I generally shoot alone. I like the serenity and Ospreys tend not to like groups of people, lol..

I noticed and that's insane. Have only seen one couple flying around at a time. I hope to have a big surprise at the end of September.
