Weight-sled pulling competition. The idea is to see which tractor can pull the most weight the farthest. Great set JC - for bonus points, why is the Fordson tractor the Fordson and not the Ford, when it was built by Henry Ford & Co.?

why is the Fordson tractor the Fordson and not the Ford, when it was built by Henry Ford & Co.?

In the beginning it was developed by Ford Motor Co., but when the directors wouldn't support the manufacture Henry Ford and his son formed a new company called Henry Ford & Son, the tractor reflects the company name Ford....Son, and also prevented copyright conflicts with Ford Tractor company a sham company founded in 1915 by a man named Paul Ford who hoped to make money off Henry Ford by selling him the name.

For a time, but when Henry Ford bought out the shareholders of Ford Motor he moved production back to Ford Motor, and eventually out of the US to Ford UK
