Well composed! The lighting makes the photo mysterious in a creepy sort of way. I love how the paint on the sidewalk adds detail to the shadow area. Of course the texture of the buildings speaks for itself. Perfect title.

Without seeing the print I would say maybe burn the porch just a little.
If there is reshoot in the future bring a torpedo level to get perfectly straight lines. It is worth a couple of frames. As this photo illustrates, sometimes the distortion adds to the mood of the image.

Can I go with #2? Unfortunatly it's probably lens flare. Inexpensive, outdated lens.
I took this while at work and it's a stretch to take the camera let alone a tripod and level. I'll have to work on solutions.
