Is there anything besides your camera that you bring to outdoor shoots?
I usually bring a Pelican 1510 hard case w/lid organizer that has all the camera gear I will need (3 camera bodies, 5 lenses, memory cards, lens cleaning supplies, spare batteries, and various other camera support stuff).
Pelican 1510-004-110 Medium Carry-On Case with Padded Dividers
A Tenba Large shoulder bag that has my speedlights (6), gels, snoots, radio triggers and paperwork. (model releases, property releases, authorizations, permits, user's manuals, etc)
Tenba Black Label 638-445 Large Shoulder Bag (Black)
A big Tenba bag that has the lightstands and light modifier adapters in it.
Tenba 632-903 Shootout Rolling Utility Duffel Bag (Black)
Another big Tenba bag that has my light modifiers (umbrellas, softboxes, flags, reflectors, diffusers, barn doors, grids, etc).
A couple of wheeled tool boxes that I have my on-location grip gear in. (Some examples of grip)
Manfrotto 035RL Super Clamp with 2908 Standard Stud - Replaces 2900 (Black)
Manfrotto 175F-1 Spring Clamp with Flash Shoe (Black)
Hosa GFT447 Gaffers Tape 2 Inch White, 60 Yard
And 2 assistants.
Here's a shot of my Pelican case loaded up and ready to go:

Why not? Just because you bring something doesn't mean you have to use it, but the Photographer's corollary to Murphy's Law clearly states that, "The one piece of gear you don't bring to a shoot is the one piece of gear which would have made the difference between success and failure". If I'm shooting, "travel light" is NOT in my vocabulary.I just hope you dont bring all that stuff including 2 assistant to an engagement shoot LOL
