not sure how you do that with your camera.
but for a given ISO (which refers to the sensitivity of the film or sensor+amplifier to light), there is always pairs of exposure time (shutter speed is actually not the right term ... strictly speaking) and aperture. so when you set to Av and go to wider apertures, your exposure time will automatically decrease and the other way round.
so if you then, for given aperture want say a sorter exposure time, you must increase the ISO (which will give you more grain / noise in your images though)
